'Poppies - Wave' 12 April - 25 June 2017
I was commissioned as 'Official Photographer' for this event. documenting the build, to the official launch and throughout the display period.
The breathtaking sculpture Wave, a sweeping arch of bright red poppy heads suspended on towering stalks, was originally seen at the Tower of London as part of the installation Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red.
For the installation in Shoeburyness, Southend-on-Sea, the sculpture was located at The Barge Pier, built in 1908.
This is a small selection from the 100's of images I made, now in the official archive of Southend on Sea Borough Council.
