The Isle of Grain Chimney 7/9/16
The 244-metre (800-foot) chimney, at the now defunct Grain A power station on the Isle of Grain, Kent, is the tallest ever concrete structure in the UK to be brought down by controlled demolition. Dozens of people who used to the work at the power station on the Isle of Grain in Kent gathered to watch the demolition.
The Isle of Grain is on the Thames Estuary, I observed the event from a boat which gave me a great vantage point. Souvenir poster available via my contact page.
